1. Not medical advice
60 Minutes Wellness provides educational content about nutrition, lifestyle, and publicly available health information for adults in the United States. It is not medical advice, nursing advice, pharmacy advice, a diagnosis, a prognosis, a treatment plan, a care plan, or a substitute for consultation with a licensed professional who knows your history.
Nothing on this site creates a physician–patient, dietitian–client, or pharmacist–patient relationship. Using a topic page (including Blood Sugar, Memory Loss, Nerve Pain, or Joint Pain) is not a clinical encounter and is not charted as care.
2. Talk with your own clinician
Always talk with your own physician, pharmacist, or registered dietitian before you start, stop, or change medicines, supplements, or how you eat for a condition you already have — including diabetes, prediabetes, kidney disease, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or a history of eating disorders.
If your clinician’s instructions conflict with something you read here, follow your clinician. We cannot see your labs, medicines, or allergies.
3. Dietary supplements (FDA / DSHEA)
Dietary supplements are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Statements about vitamins, minerals, herbs, or other supplements on this site have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as drug claims.
We do not sell supplements and we do not recommend a specific brand. A label on a bottle is not a substitute for clinical care. “Natural” does not mean safe. Mixes with blood thinners, diabetes medicines, and blood pressure drugs are common — tell every clinician what you take.
4. Emergencies — do not wait for Sunday email
If you have chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness, a sudden change in speech or vision, a sudden change in memory or confusion, a severe allergic reaction, thoughts of suicide, or uncontrolled bleeding, call 911 (United States) or go to the nearest emergency department. For a possible poisoning, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
60 Minutes Wellness does not provide emergency services, telemedicine, or after-hours clinical coverage.
5. Individual results
Diet patterns, walking, sleep, and similar habits affect people differently. We do not promise weight loss, lower blood sugar, less pain, or improved memory. Past descriptions of a “typical” plate method or grocery list are illustrations, not a guarantee.
6. Third-party news, video, and audio
News items, fact sheets, and videos may come from NIH, MedlinePlus, CDC, the American Diabetes Association, USDA, the Arthritis Foundation, YouTube creators we embed, and similar organizations. Those groups speak for themselves. We may summarize and link; we do not replace their full guidance, and they have not necessarily reviewed our wording.
Feeds can be delayed, incomplete, or contain characters that we clean up for display. Always open the original page for context, dates, and updates. See Sources.
7. No government endorsement
60 Minutes Wellness is a private publication. Use of U.S. government or nonprofit materials, names, or logos (where they appear as text links) does not mean those agencies endorse 60 Minutes Wellness, our membership, or any product.
8. Children and high-risk groups
Content is written for adults. It is not pediatric advice. It is not a substitute for obstetric or specialist care. People with complex disease should not use a weekly email as monitoring.
9. Limitation
To the extent the law allows, 60 Minutes Wellness is not liable for decisions you make after reading educational content. Additional limits appear in the Terms of Use.
10. Contact
